Condolence: Dear Carr family, nothing can fully prepare us for the loss of a loved one. But we can gain comfort from God’s word the bible which states at Revelation 21:4 that there will be no more mourning or death. During his rule over the earth, the heavenly Jesus will bring back to life those humans who are asleep in death. That is why he said: “I am the resurrection.” Think of the happiness you will feel when you see your loved ones again! Think, too, of the joy that resurrected ones will experience! Please take comfort and know that they will not be gone from you for long. Keep the memory of them close to your heart and take comfort in that future promise as did Jesus’ friend Martha. (John 11:24)

Condolence: I would like to offer my condolences on the death of your son, Michael. To lose a loved one is devastating but when it is someone so young, it has an even more profound effect on everyone. I pray that our Heavenly Father provides your family with the peace you will need to sustain you during this time. We all long for the day when his promises found at John 5:28,29 and Revelation 21:3,4 will be realized. Until that time, may loving words of encouragement from family and friends help you through the coming days. I am truly sorry for your loss.
