Obituary for The Honorable Mr. Justice Roy Hall

HALL - Saturday, March 25, 2006, The Honourable Roy Norman Hall, passed away at the age of 85 years. Predeceased by his wife, Sheila; his parents, Norman and Eleanor Hall; his brothers, Stanley and Keith; and his daughter-in-law, Ellen Ross. Roy is survived by his sons, Stanley and Norman; his grandchildren, David, Ross and Shelley; his brother-in-law, Lyell MacLeod; his sisters-in-law, Kay Hall and Merna Moffat; his nieces, Kathy Tate and Celia Nishimura, and their children. Born at Ponteix, Saskatchewan on October 24, 1920, Roy was educated at Ponteix and Shaunavon, Saskatchewan, and graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a B.A. and LL.B (cum laude). He served with the RCAF in World War II as a navigator. Roy practised law in Prince Albert, and was appointed to the Court of Appeal for Saskatchewan in 1962 and served for twenty-eight years until retirement.
