Condolences

Condolence From: Ayanna
Condolence: Dear Thompson family, I want to offer my condolences and to assure you of a wonderful hope that the bible offers. The bible makes the promise of a resurrection at Acts 24:15. It also tells us that death will be no more. (Revelation 21:4) You can believe this because God is the creator of life and he is certainly capable of restoring it. He has resurrected people in the past and is eager to do it again. (Job 14:14,15) He will resurrect them here to the earth and you can see them again without having to die. (Psalm 37:29) My hope is that you take comfort in these promises and that it can in some way ease your pain at this time.

Condolence From: A Friend
Condolence: Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. Many have found true comfort in the pages of God's word the Bible (2 Corinthians 1:3, 4). In God's word we find the promise that we can be reunited with our loved ones (John 5:28,29; Acts 24:15). The Bible tells us where this happy reunion will take place (Psalm 37: 11, 29; Matthew 5:5). We are told why we die (Genesis 3:17-19; Romans 5:12), and that the God of the Bible (Psalm 83:18), will end death forever (Isaiah 25:8; Revelation 21:3,4). At John 8:32 Jesus said " and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free".

Condolence: Our hearts and prayers are with the whole family. Mel was a wonderful man, indeed, and we have fond memories of his beautiful voice and his tremendous humor. We will always remember how his "Sweet Little Jesus Boy" made the Christmas Eve services so special at North Church. He was a gift to us all. Fondly, Susie (Scott) and Danny Hawkins

Condolence: Our deepest condolences to all the family. Mel was such a light of love, kindness, and joy. He was always so fun, lighthearted, and happy to be around. He had a great love of life and liked to spread that to everyone wherever he was. His outlook was always positive no matter the circumstances, he would focus on the good and keep faith and hope in his words and in his actions. Singing with him was always a boost to my spirit and knowing him a blessing. I will miss him very much and so will all our church family at North Congregational church.

Condolence From: Brandy Adams
Condolence: Dear Thompson family,
Thank you so much for sharing Mel with the North Congregational Church family. As the soprano soloist there, I was blessed with getting to know Mel and to make music with him. He felt so strongly about the music and always offered suggestions about dynamics and nuances to keep in line with the integrity of the piece. He was a breath of fresh air and will be sorely missed.
I believe he's singing a perfect praise in heaven at this very moment.
May God bring comfort to you all.

Condolence: My deepest condolences Lena, to you and your family. I hope you find comfort today and always in all the great memories you have. I remember a story you once told me about how he would always sing and how much you loved that and how sometimes it would make you laugh because he was so silly. I'm sure he also knew how much you loved him. There is a special bond between a daddy and his daughter. I'm very sorry for your loss.
